Mirror Controls International

In June 2007, Englefield agreed to acquire Mirror Controls International BV ("MCi") from Eaton, the large listed US industrial group. MCi, headquartered in Moontfoort, Netherlands, is the leading global supplier of motorised actuators for exterior automotive mirror systems with a global market share of 33%. The company is a Tier 2 component specialist, supplying to the global mirror system suppliers from manufacturing operations in the Netherlands, Ireland, Mexico and Korea. It is recognised in the industry for its technological leadership and superior operational effectiveness and is the only independent Tier 2 player of significance in its industry. MCi manufactures both mirror glass actuators and power-fold actuators. Mirror glass actuators allow the vehicle driver to adjust the side mirror position while power-fold actuators rotate the side mirrors inward toward the vehicle allowing the possibility to manoeuvre through tight spaces and protect the mirror from damage.
