Englefield Team - India

Shaurya Arora - Shaurya joined Englefield in 2008. Since 2007 he worked with Lehman Brothers' private equity and growth capital division investing Lehman's proprietary capital across sectors in India. He was previously with DSP Merrill Lynch's investment banking division. Shaurya received his MBA from IIM Bangalore in 2005.

Jerome Mourgue D'Algue, Partner and Joint Head of India - Jerome joined Englefield in 2003. He has multi-sector investment experience with a strong bias towards financial services and education and training. Previously he was with Morgan Stanley Capital Partners in London. Early in his career, Jerome was with McKinsey & Co, where he was mostly involved in financial services. Jerome graduated from ESSEC in France and received his MBA from the Wharton School. He is a certified French Actuary. Jerome moved to India in 2008 to co-head the India office.

Nitin Nayak – Nitin joined Englefield in 2008. Prior to joining Englefield, he worked in the Indian investment banking operations of Merrill Lynch for over three years in the Corporate Finance and Financial Institutions groups. He is a Chartered Accountant in India, a Certified Public Accountant in the U.S. and holds a Bachelors degree in Commerce.

Dinesh Vaswani, Partner and Joint Head of India – Dinesh joined Englefield in 2008. Dinesh has over 20 years of investing and operating experience in India and the US. Most recently Dinesh was Managing Director with Temasek Holdings in India where he led investments across a range of industries. Prior to Temasek, Dinesh established Bessemer Ventures operations in India and led the firm’s first four investments in that country. Dinesh holds an MBA from the Wharton School of Business and a BBA from the University of Texas in Austin.
