Edmund Buckley, Partner - Edmund joined Englefield in 2003. Prior to joining the firm, he spent three years in the investment banking division of Morgan Stanley. Edmund graduated from Cambridge University with an MA in History. Edmund moved to the USA in 2008 to help establish the San Francisco office.
Aleem Choudhry, Principal – Aleem joined Englefield in 2008. Prior to joining Englefield, Aleem worked for four years at Friedman, Fleischer & Lowe, LLC, a middle market private equity firm focused on North American leveraged buyouts. Prior to that he worked as a summer associate in the investment banking division of The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. and for three years in the investment banking division of Wasserstein Perella & Co. Aleem graduated from Stanford University with a BS in Physics and a minor in Economics and also holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
William Liebeck, Partner and Head of North America - William joined Englefield in 2008 to lead its North American operations. He has spent over 20 years in the private equity business, predominantly with Golder, Thoma Cressey and its successor firm, Thoma Cressey Equity Partners. William was one of the founding partners of Thoma Cressey Equity Partners and was responsible for the San Francisco office during his tenure. William holds a BA in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
Lucy Lu – Lucy joined Englefield in 2008. Prior to Englefield, Lucy had worked in the financial sponsors group at Credit Suisse since 2007. Lucy graduated from the University of Chicago with a BA in Economics.
Ed McKinley, Senior Advisor – Ed serves as a senior advisor with the North American investment team and serves on the Englefield Capital Advisory Board. Ed has over 20 years of private equity experience, including 19 years at Warburg Pincus where he was a senior partner until 2003. From 2003 to the present he has been an advisor to Englefield Capital, Warburg Pincus, Bregal Investments, and several other investment firms. Ed holds a BA in Constitutional Law from Stanford University and a Masters in Public and Private Management from the Yale School of Management.
Stephen Pohlmeyer – Stephen joined Englefield in 2008. Prior to Englefield, he spent two years at Warburg Pincus in the LBO and special situations group. Prior to that he worked for two years in the investment banking division of Goldman Sachs. Stephen graduated from Dartmouth College with a BA in Economics and Government.
